Marawi City – As part of his thrust to boost the morale of the troops, Police Brigadier General Manuel M Abu, Regional Director of Police Regional Office Bangsamoro Autonomous Region visited Lanao Del Sur Police Provincial Office on June 3, 2020 at Camp Bagong Amai Pakpak, Marawi City. He was welcomed by personnel of Lanao Del Sur Police Provincial Office headed by Police Colonel Madzgani M Mukaram, Provincial Director.
During his talk, Police Brig. Gen. Abu commended Lanao Del Sur police force for their selfless dedication in helping the Local Government Units of Lanao in addressing the CoVid-19 pandemic.
PBGen Abu highlighted in his speech that leadership, teamwork, commitment and with the active support of the community are vital factors to achieve genuine peace and development in the area. He also emphasized the need to involve civil society organization, NGOs and other sectoral groups in all programs of the Philippine National Police.
“Let us continue our cumulative efforts to serve the people we oath to serve and maintain peace” PBGen Abu said during talk to the men. “I ask everyone to remain dedicated and passionate in rendering service to our nation,” he added.
Likewise, PBGen Abu also gave stern caution to all PNP personnel not to involve in illegal/illicit activity particularly on illegal drugs.
Meanwhile, during the visit, PBGen Abu also joined in the 12th Provincial Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) for Emerging Infectious Disease meeting presided by Governor Mamintal "Bombit" Alonto Adiong, Jr. of Lanao Del Sur wherein he reiterates to the attending member agencies that PNP will continue to address and perform law enforcement functions in support to the government's effort to address illegal drugs, corruption and terrorism, as there is no slowing down in the campaign against crimes. ####
