AFP-PNP Working on Recovery of SAF 44 Firearms

PDDG LEONARDO ESPINA, Chief, Philippine National Police, confirmed that majority of the firearms of the slain SAF commandos during the Mamasapano incident have yet to be accounted for after more than four months. Nevertheless, the PNP is continuously coordinating with the AFP for the recovery of the said unaccounted firearms.

The PNP reiterates its appeal to the MILF leadership to surrender the firearms and other combat equipment they took during the incident. If the MILF is really sincere with the peace talks and they honor the on-going peace agreement with the government, they should surrender all the remaining firearms of the SAF commandos.

The PNP further assures the families of the slain SAF commandos and the public that it will continue to find and serve justice to our slain colleagues.
