Lanao Del Sur- With the relentless fight against illegal drugs and campaign against all forms of criminalities, joint forces of PDEA BARMM together with PDEU LDSPPO, Maguing MPS, and 55th IB, PA, implemented the Search Warrant which led to the arrest of subject personalities and seizure of Php10,200,000.00 worth of suspected shabu around 9:30AM of June 9, 2022 in Brgy. Dilimbayan, Maguing, Lanao Del Sur.
Maguing MPS Identified the subject personality as Faisa Hadji Raof alias "Faiza Abdullah Sohaimen" alias "Faiza Macabato Sohaimen" alias "Madam", believed to be an active member of Macabato Drug Group, a local drug group operating in Lanao Del Sur, and subject of the search of warrant for violation of Sec 5 and 6 Art. II of R.A 9165 isued by the Presiding Judge Regional Trial Court, Marawi City last June 7, 2022 with no recommended bail.
Other arrested personalities were identified as Amersab Ebra Macabato and Hadji Raifah Hadji Rakim Hadji Rasul alias "Aniya Hadji Raof", all active members of the said drug group and relatives of alias "Madam", while Mohaimin Macabato, husband of alias "Madam", and Omirah Hadji Raof, relative, were able to elude arrest.
Reports disclosed that the suspects belonged to the drug listed personalities under PDEA and Maguing MPS. The said operation also led to the dismantling of the drug den operated and maintained by the couple, alias "madam' and her husband Mohaimin Macabato, who were responsible for the large scale distribution of illegal drugs in Maguing and neighboring municipalities of Lanao Del Sur, areas in Region 10, and in Davao City.
Seized during the operation were: 21 pieces of heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets and nine (9) pieces knot tied plastic transparent cellophane all containing white crystalline substance believed to be “shabu” weighing MOL 1.5 kilograms worth Php10,200,000.00; drug paraphernalia, cash with different domination amounting of Php10,000.00; one (1) unit Tangerine Nissan Navara; one (1) unit mobile phone and passbook of BDO and Security Bank that are believed to be used in illegal drug transactions.
All arrested suspects and confiscated pieces of evidence are now in the custody of PDEA BARMM for proper disposition and preparation of documentary requirement in the filing of appropriate charges againts the suspects.
PBGen Arthur R Cabalona lauded the successful arrest of the suspects and continue to vanguard the fights againts illegal drugs in the region.
