In line with the relentless fight against illegal drugs of PRO BAR as directed by PBGen Arthur R Cabalona, Regional Director, operatives of Bongao Municipal Police Station led by Police Captain Kuhutan H Imlani Jr arrested eleven (11) identified drug personalities in Brgy. Simandagit, Bongao, Tawi-Tawi on February 14, 2022.
Report from Tawi-tawi Police Provincial Office disclosed that operatives of Bongao MPS were conducting mobile patrol when they received a phone call from a concerned citizen about ongoing drug peddling activities in the aforementioned place.
Acting on the said report, the police operatives immediately proceeded to the area and arrested, in flagrante delicto, the eleven (11) suspects identified as Ibno-Khaizer Lakibul Ibnosuhod, 20 years old, Ameer-Khan Lakibul Abail, 18 years old, Aladin Sallaani Shalim, 19 years old, Hadzmier Taping Mahadali, 18 years old, Markniel Gabato Lozada, 24 years old, Radzbar Muhadi Jarah, 24 years old, Shalimar Hassan Lakibul , 29 years old, Omar-Hakim Kiran Lakimil , 26 years old, Arquizar Hannah Sabtula , 18 years old, Nadzmil Sali Lakibul, 33 years old, and Al-Shaien Salihuddin Caincay, 19 years old, all residents of Brgy. Simandagit, Bongao, Tawi-Tawi.
The arrest also resulted in the confiscation of thirty (30) pieces of transparent straws containing white crystalline granules believed to be “Shabu” with a total weight of 1.300 grams and an estimated market value of Php 8,840.00.
The arrested suspects are now detained in the custodial facility of Bongao MPS and the seized pieces of evidence were turned over to the Zamboanga Crime Laboratory Office for laboratory examination.
Cases for violation of RA 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drug Act of 2002 are being prepared for filing against the suspects.
