Maguindanao – PBGen Arthur R Cabalona, Regional Director, PRO BAR, directed PCol Jibin M Bongcayao, Provincial Director, Maguindanao Police Provincial Office, to conduct intensive investigation for the immediate filing of appropriate charges in court relative to the shooting incident which transpired at Sitio DAM, Brgy. Tambunan II, Guindulungan, Maguindanao at 8:30 AM of February 12, 2022 that resulted in the death of nine individuals and the wounding of 3 more.
Killed during the incident were: Peges Mamasainged “aka Black Magic” of Inner Guard Base Command of BIAF, MILF, Sadam Mamasainged, Sadre Mamasainged, Johari Mamasainged, Kamaro Mamasainged, “aka Tani”, and three others who are still unidentified.
Report from Maguindanao PPO disclosed that the group of Commander Black Magic were enroute to Brgy. Kalumamis, Guindulungan, Maguindanao on board a Maroon Mitsubishi Montero and Black Ford Ranger to attend a “RIDO” settlement/kanduli when they were fired upon by the group of the suspects Jordan Mama Lintang “aka Commander Jordan” together with his son Morsid Mama Lintang “aka Ngelong”, resident of the said place and alleged MILF member.
Long standing family feud/grudge “rido” between the involved parties was the possible reason seen by the investigators as motive behind the crime.
Wounded victims were brought to the Maguindanao Integrated Provincial Health Office for medical treatment.
Further, personnel of Guindulungan MPS, AFP, and Maguindanao Provincial Mobile Force Company were deployed and directed to scour the area for possible apprehension of the suspects.
PBGen Cabalona strongly condemns the killing of the victims and extends his condolences to the bereaved families.
