    PBGen Eden T Ugale, Regional Director, PRO BAR, commended the operatives of the Lanao Sur Police Provincial Office for their quick response that resulted to the arrest of a suspect behind the stabbing incident that transpired in Brgy. Rogero, Bubong, Lanao del Sur on January 9, 2022.

    The arrest was made possible due to the involvement of a concerned citizen who promptly reported the incident, leading the operatives to conduct a hot pursuit operation.
    Bubong Municipal Police Station identified the suspect as Cawi Madali Dataman, 45 years old, married and a resident of the aforementioned place.
   Accordingly, the suspect assaulted and stabbed the victim, Ali A. Ampuan, a married farmer and acquaintance of the suspect. Jealousy was the possible reason seen by the operatives as motive behind the crime.
    The victim who was brought to Amai Pakpak Medical Center for immediate treatment, sustained three (3) lacerations on the right side of his head; one deep stabbed would on his left shoulder; and defensive wounds found on his hands and forearms.
    Recovered pieces of evidence from the suspect’s possession and control were one (1) Unit Cal. 45 Para 1911 with 1 Mag and 2 Rds ammo, and one (1) bloody knife.
   Charges for Violation of RA 10591 (Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act) and Frustrated Murder will be filed against the arrested suspect.

This accomplishment demonstrates that PRO BAR is doing all possible actions to preserve the peace and order in the Bangsamoro region”, PBGen Ugale, said.
