     MARAWI CITY – PBGen Eden T Ugale, Regional Director, PRO BAR, condems the shooting incident that transpired at MSU Marawi Grandstand, Barangay Rapasun, Marawi City, Lanao del Sur on December 2, 2021, likewise he also lauds the bravery of an off duty PNP personnel who immediately responded to the incident and the speedy identification of the suspects through a swift conduct of investigation by personnel of Marawi City Police Station.

     Report from Lanao del Sur Police Provincial Office disclosed that a certain ARIPODIN DARAYNO MAMACUNA, 21 years old student, was walking inside MSU Campus when he sensed that a group of men were following him. Thus, he proceeded at the MSU grandstand to hide himself but was caught and beaten up. The victims pacified the incident but were shot upon by the suspects.
     An off duty PNP personnel who was at the grandstand watching the awarding ceremony of a sport event immediately responded to the incident that resulted to an exchange of gun fire hitting one of the suspect's arm and prompting them to run away from the place of incident.
     Personnel of Marawi City Police Station conducted quick response that resulted to the identification of the suspects: MACARAYA SARIPADA ARMAMA, BANJO SARIPADA, and RAKIM SARIPADA, all of legal ages and residents of Brgy. Rapasun, Marawi City.
     Wounded victims ANWAR DIMAODIN KIRAM, 26 years old, single, male, and a resident of Brgy. Sandab, Butig, Lanao del Sur and MOHAIMEN BATAL MABA, 21 years old, single, and a resident of Brgy. Cadayonan, Balindong, LDS, were both brought to Amai Pakpak Medical Center for medical treatment.
Recovered from the crime scene were several fired cartridges of believed to be caliber .22 and 9mm pistols.
      PCol Christopher Panapan, Provincial Director, Lanao del Sur PPO, said that they are looking into a personal grudge as motive behind the incident. Further, appropriate criminal charges are now being prepared against the suspects.
