          PRO BAR intensified anti-illegal drugs campaign targeting small-scale and big-time drug personalities remain in place after the arrest of another two drug peddlers and confiscation from their possession of 17.6 grams of “shabu” with estimated value of Php 119, 680.00 at Badjao Village, Barangay Pag-asa, Bongao, Tawi-Tawi on November 1, 2021.

            Police reports from Tawi-Tawi PPO disclosed that while the elements of Bongao MPS were conducting mobile patrol, they received information from a concerned citizen about the ongoing drug peddling activities at the aforementioned place. Acting on the said report, the police operatives abruptly proceeded to the area wherein the arrested suspects identified as Bodoy Anang Hussin, and Binging Mohammad Lahaman, both residents of Bongao, Tawi-Tawi were caught in the act engaging in illegal drug activity.

            Said accomplishment of PRO BAR is a proof of its relentless effort against illegal-drugs following the successful buy-bust operations that resulted in the confiscation of 1 kilogram of cocaine worth of Php 5.3 million in Sitangkai, Tawi- Tawi last October 29, 2021, 16.15 grams of “shabu” worth Php 109,820.00 and 13 grams of “shabu” worth of Php 88,400.00 in Marawi City, Lanao Del Sur last October 27 and October 29, 2021, respectively.

             PBGen Eden T Ugale, Regional Director PRO BAR, said that PRO BAR anti-illegal drugs campaign will be carried out with renewed vigor and aggressiveness against drug syndicates, suppliers, peddlers, and all other persons involved in illegal drugs.

            The Regional Director also encourages the Bangsamoro people to continue their support and active involvement in PNP’s campaign against illegal drugs towards the attainment of a drug free, peaceful and prosperous Bangsamoro region.
