SULU – Five (5) drug personalities were arrested in anti-illegal drug operation at Sitio Tanjung, Barangay Kajatian, Indanan, Sulu for peddling illegal drugs. Report from Sulu Police Provincial Office showed that at about 10:40 AM of July 14, 2021, joint personnel of Indanan Municipal Police Station, 1st Provincial Mobile Force Company of Sulu, and coordination with PDEA BARMM conducted an Anti – Illegal Drug (Buy Bust) Operation which resulted to the arrest of suspects identified as Kiat Ujing Halimaw, alias "Yah", DI listed , 21 years old , single, jobless , resident of Tulay, Jolo; Abdulganih Ummal Iskandal, male, 52 years old, single, resident of Kasalamatan Village, Jolo; Nurhasan Razma Ulod, male, 23 years old, driver, resident of Tulay, Jolo; Radzmer Tambi Sayari, 38 years old, married, resident of Kasulutan Village; and Apping Suhaili Salip Agil, 24 years old, single, driver, and resident of Bus-Bus, Jolo. Operatives recovered from Halimaw's possessions were two (2) pieces of transparent heat-sealed sachet containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu. Confiscated from Ulod were one piece heat-sealed sachet believed to be shabu and aluminum foil. Confiscated from Sayari possession was one sachet containing a suspected shabu, while one heat-sealed suspected shabu and one piece aluminum foil were confiscated from Agil's possession. Recovered in the area of operation were: 4 pieces empty plastic sachet believed to be containing traves of suspected shabu; 3 pieces of used cut tissues; 1 improvised tooter; and two disposable lighters. After documentation, inventory, and marking of evidence on the site of operation witnessed by the Kajatian Barangay Officials, DOJ, and Media representatives, the arrested suspects including confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to Indanan Municipal Police Station for documentation and proper disposition. The arrested suspects were properly informed of their constitutional rights in a dialect understood by them. PRO BAR Regional Director, Police BGen Eden T Ugale lauds the operating units and reiterates that PRO BAR is determined in eradicating illegal drugs in the Bangsamoro region and further assures the public that it will continue its fight against illegal drugs with intensified efforts to secure and protect the Bangsamoro people from the scourge of illegal drugs. ###
