UPI Municipal Police Station, PRO BAR, received a phone call from a concerned citizen reporting about a theft incident that transpired at Upi 168 Brgy. Nuro, Upi, Maguindanao, on July 11, 2021.
Thereafter, Upi MPS conducted an initial investigation and disclosed that while the owner was conducting inventory at the store, noticed that some assorted cellphones and money were missing. Upon reviewing their CCTVs, they found out that the suspect, Joshua Lamigo Prangga, one of their staff, 19 years old, male, a resident of Sitio Ragubang, Brgy. Kaba-kaba, Upi, Maguindanao, was recorded stealing the missing items.
The said suspect was successfully arrested after the Investigator of Upi MPS was informed by the BPAT of Brgy. Kabakaba that the suspect, along with the stolen items, surrendered to them.
Recovered from his possession and control are the following: a) one (1) unit VIVO Y31 cellphone amounting to Php 12,999.00; b) three (3) units OPPO A15s cellphone amounting to Php 20,997.00; c) two (2) units OPPO A94 cellphone amounting to Php 28,598.00; d) two (2) units OPPO A74 cellphone amounting to Php 23, 998.00; e) one (1) unit OPPO RENO5 cellphone amounting to Php 16,999.00; and f) assorted paper bill money amounting to Php 9,100.00.
PBGEN Eden T Ugale, RD, PRO BAR, attributed this incident to the improved Community-Oriented Policing of PRO BAR where BPATS are the primary operators. PRO BAR also continuously enhances its managing police operations intending to significantly decline PRO BARs Crime Volume.
