         Marawi City (June 15, 2021): A Street-Level Target (SLT) in Violation of RA 9165 voluntarily surrendered to the authorities of Marawi CPS, Monday morning, at Marawi City Police Station, Brgy. Fort, Marawi City, Lanao del Sur.

          The surrendered ALEX ABA DIACATRA a.k.a ANSARY BATALO, male, 42, a resident of Brgy. Bangon, Marawi City, LDS was accompanied by HON KHOUZBARY SALIC, Brgy Chairman of Brgy Fort, Marawi City to assist the said surrender.

          A three (3) heat-sealed plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be shabu with an estimated weight of 0.6 grams having a DDB Value of Php 4,080.00 was also turned in by the surrenderee. It is the remaining of his supply in drug peddling that was left unsold.

          Accordingly, the surrenderee decided to surface due to fear when he learned that his cohorts are all arrested on the intensified police anti-drug operations by LDS PPO. The suspect, currently in the custody of Marawi CPS, will be charged in violation of the Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

          The Police Regional Office of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region community-based anti-illegal drug campaign is a continuous effort to address the issues on illegal drugs in the Bangsamoro Region and bust it before it proliferates. This instance is a successful result of that effort. It does not just stop the proliferation of illegal drugs but sends out a warning to anyone who plans in dealing with this illegal activity, that they will be pursued no matter what and they will be dealt with accordingly by the law.
