            Marawi City – Three (3) drug personalities in Lanao Del Sur are arrested in a buy bust operation at Barangay Matampay, Marawi City on March 24, 2021.

            Report from Lanao Del Sur Police Provincial Office disclosed that at about 7:30 PM of March 24, 2021, personnel of Marawi City Police Station and Piagapo Municipal Police Station conducted an Anti – Illegal Drug (Buy Bust) Operation which resulted to the arrest of suspects identified as: Dayamona Usman Camid, 40 years old, married, female, businesswoman; Mohammad Ontora Camid, 18 years old, single, male, jobless, both residents of Barangay Matampay, Marawi City; and Ibrahim Nader Minalang, 27 years old, male, married, treasurer of Barangay Kalilangan Dicala and resident of Barangay Cadayonan, Marawi City.

            Operatives recovered from the suspects' possessions are the following pieces of evidence: Ten (10) medium sized heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing white crystalline substance believed to be shabu with estimated weight of 57 grams and value of Php 387,600.00; ten (10) pieces of Php 1000.00 bill with one (1) piece genuine Php1, 000.00 and 9 pieces of fake 1000 peso bill as boodle money; One (1) pc Samsung cellphone; Nine (9) pcs disposable lighters; Assorted drug paraphernalia; One (1) piece of ICOM Two-way radio; and One (1) pc ICOM Charger.

             After documentation, inventory, and marking of evidence on the site of operation, the arrested suspects including the confiscated pieces of evidence were brought to Marawi City Police Station for thorough investigation and proper disposition. The arrested suspects were properly informed of their constitutional rights in a dialect understood by them.

            Police Brigadier General Samuel P Rodriguez, Regional Director of PRO BAR lauded the operating unit and reiterates that PRO BAR is determined in eradicating illegal drugs in the Bangsamoro region with intensified efforts to secure and protect the Bangsamoro people, most especially the youth, from the scourge of illegal drugs.
