            Cotabato City – Personnel of Cotabato City Police Office headed by Police Colonel Rommel L Javier, Acting City Director arrested four persons for alleged kidnapping, violation of RA 10591 and Usurpation of Authority on March 7, 2021 at Barangay Datu Balabaran, Cotabato City.

          Report of Cotabato City Police Office to Police Brigadier General Samuel P Rodriguez, Regional Director of Police Regional Office Bangsamoro Autonomous Region revealed that suspects were identified as James Raymund C. Balga, 31 years old, married, construction worker and resident of Mintex, DOS, Maguindanao; Nasser Lauban, 39 years old, married, farmer and a resident of Barangay Datu Balabaran, Cotabato City; Al-Andamen Lauban Ebrahim, 43 years old, married, self-employed and a resident of Malagapas, Barangay RH 10, Cotabato City.; and Ben Juharto S. Dimalanas, 26 years old, single, construction worker and a resident of Malagapas, Barangay RH 10, Cotabato City.

         Further, while the operating unit led by Police Colonel Javier, Acting City Director conducting mobile patrol along the road of Barangay Datu Balabaran, Cotabato City, the team notice the above-mentioned suspects forcing the victims identified as Datu Jen Balabaran, 22 years old; student, resident of Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao; and Aldren Lim Libas, 18 years old, student, resident of Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao to board to the suspects’ vehicle (Toyota Rush). The operating personnel prompted to confront and asked why they were forcing the said teenagers, suspects informed the troops that they were conducting drug operation and introduced themselves as members of PNP detailed at Police Station 3, Cotabato City. When they were asked to present their PNP ID, said suspect failed to present their IDs and there, the suspects were arrested and brought to concerned Police Station for investigation.

         Confiscated from the suspects’ possessions and control were the following: • One (1) piece Luger Caliber 9mm with One (1) magazine loaded with 13 live ammunition; • One (1) unit Toyota Rush color white bearing plate number P1 UO76 with One (1) key; and • One (1) piece Bullet Proof color black and green .

            Arrested persons were placed under the custodial facility of Police Station 3 for proper disposition.

          Police BGen Rodriguez lauded the operating units for their relentless efforts in putting criminals behind bars. He encourages the public to actively support the PNP operations criminalities and report any act of criminalities to the police.
