Parang, Maguindanao – The Police Regional Office of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region will tighten its police operations to secure the safety and security of the Bangsamoro region during the celebration and observance of the Yuletide season.
Full alert status will be reiterated to all PNP units within the Bangsamoro region. Police presence, establishment of Police Assistance Desks, and deployment of road safety marshals: focused law enforcement operations to include the continuous conduct of PNP Campaign Plan Double Barrel Alpha and the implementation of RA No 7183 (Illegal Manufacture and Sale of Firecrackers and Pyrotechnics); utilization of force multipliers; and police community partnership and information operations will be implemented.
PRO BAR will also continue to intensify the campaign against loose firearms, illegal discharge of firearms, and campaign against criminal gangs and personalities supported by the Project Double Barrel Alpha focusing on the arrest and account of High Value Target Personalities involved in illegal drugs.
Regional Director, PRO BAR, Police Brigadier General Samuel P Rodriguez directs all Provincial Directors, City Director, and RMFB14 Force Commander to enhance security operations before, during, and after Christmas Day and New Year’s Day shall be strictly observed as it is expected to cause influx of people in shopping centers, churches, transport terminals, and other public places.
Further, PBGen Rodriguez directed all police units to avoid extra-curricular or insignificant activities in their respective jurisdictions but to remain police presence and ensure public safety. PRO BAR personnel were advised to undertake a simple and meaningful yet cost-effective observance of the Yuletide Season and give an opportunity for the PNP families to strengthen camaraderie while ensuring that duty officers are still on-guard in streets.
