TAWI-TAWI – Joint elements of Sitangkai Municipal Police Station and 312 Marine Company, MBLT12, Philippine Marines arrested most wanted drug personality in Sitangkai, Tawi- Tawi on November 26, 2020.

          The report of Tawi-Tawi Police Provincial Office disclosed that suspect was identified as Hajan Gampal Mani, 27 years old, married and resident of Sitio Palankit, Barangay Sipangkot, Sitangkai, Tawi-Tawi, who had a standing warrant of arrest for the violation of Section 11, Article II, Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002) issued by the Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court 9, Branch 5, Bongao, Tawi-Tawi with recommended bail bond of Php 200,000.00.

          The operating units received from PNP informant and Intelligence operative that suspect was spotted at the vicinity of Pier of Barangay Sipangkot. Immediately, joint operating units proceeded to the area and sighted the suspect wherein arresting officers successfully served the warrant of arrest. Apprehending officers informed the suspect of his constitutional rights.

          The suspect is now under the custody of Sitangkai Municipal Police Station for documentation and proper disposition.

          Regional Director, PRO BAR Police Brigadier General Samuel P Rodriguez lauded the operating units for their relentless efforts on the campaign against wanted persons in Tawi-Tawi. He encourages the public to actively support the PRO BAR operations against wanted person in the region.
