     Police Regional Office of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region  in its drive to reduce unregistered firearms  spawned 13 loose firearms under ‘’OPLAN KONTRA BOGA BRAVO’’ an intensified police operations targeting unregistered and unlicensed firearms in the hands of threat groups, criminal elements and the civilian population, as well as firearms with expired or not renewed licenses.

        Friday, November 20, 2020, Balindong Municipal Police Station of Lanao Del Sur, Police Provincial Office recovered 13 loose firearms through the voluntary turnover of 13 Barangay Chairman of Balindong, Lanao Del Sur. Data shows that firearms surrendered includes; 9 pieces of .45 Pistols, 3 pieces of .9mm Pistols, and 1 piece of .357 Rivolver. 

      Balindong MPS reports show that the surrendered firearms are now turned over to POMU, LDSPPO for proper documentation. However, the 13 Barangay Chairman that yielded their unlicensed guns would not be facing any charges but instead, help the PNP to urge other gun holders with expired or unlicensed firearms to voluntarily surrender their guns to avoid being charged in the future.

       PBGEN Samuel P Rodriguez, Regional Director, PRO BAR in his drive to excellence targets to reduce the number of unregistered firearms throughout the region. Patterned from the PNP’s nationwide campaigns, the Oplan Bilang and Oplan Kontra Boga, PRO BAR will further strengthen its intelligence-driven initiative to curb the number of unregistered and unlicensed firearms to reduce the volume of index crimes that are usually done with loose firearms.
