          LANAO DEL SUR – Personnel of Marawi City Police Station arrested three (3) men transporting lumbers without permit in Marawi City on November 17, 2020.

          The 22 years old Akmali Palao Mechael of Saguiran, Lanao Del Sur was taken to Marawi City Police Station for driving a truck loaded with undocumented 1000 board feet lumbers with market value of Twenty Thousand Pesos (Php20, 000.00). Mechael was flagged down in a Checkpoint Operation at Barangay Matampay of the said city.

           In a separate joint PNP – AFP operations, same violation were committed by Mohammad Balubug Liba, male, 25 years old, married and Alimosa Mosara Ali, male, 40 years old, married, both residents of Bubong, Lanao Del Sur for driving trucks loaded with 2000 board feet undocumented lumbers. They were taken to Marawi City Police Station for verification of the legality of their cargoes.

          The arrested individuals are now under the custody of Marawi City Police Station while confiscated pieces of evidence are now in the custody of Marawi City Police Office prior to the turn-over to Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) of Lanao Del Sur.

          Police Brigadier General Samuel P Rodriguez, Regional Director, Police Regional Office Bangsamoro Autonomous Region lauded the operating units for their relentless efforts in enforcing the law and implementation of Campaign on Forest Protection.
