MARAWI CITY – One (1) piece of Unexploded Ordnance was recovered by joint elements of Marawi City Police Station, 1403rd RMFB and EOD Team of Lanao Del Sur at Barangay Tuca Ambolong, Marawi City on November 13, 2020 at about 11:50 in the morning.
The reports from Marawi City Police Office to Police Brigadier General Samuel P Rodriguez, Regional Director of Police Regional Office Bangsamoro Autonomous Region revealed that the Unexploded Ordnance was reported by a concerned citizen and resident of the area. An informant led the police to the location of the Unexploded Ordnance, which was placed on the lake shore of the said barangay.
Immediately, the operating units cordoned and secured the area. The EOD team properly conducted a Render Safe Procedure. The Unexploded Ordnance is now under the custody of EOD of Lanao Del Sur Police Provincial Office for proper disposition.
RD, PRO BAR Police BGen Rodriguez reiterates that police operations will intensify across the Bangsamoro region especially in the convergence places to eradicate criminalities and terroristic acts which are blatant disregard of the safety of the people.
