BASILAN – Elements of Lantawan Municipal Police Station arrested the 9th Most Wanted Person of Lantawan municipality on October 26, 2020 at about 7:30 o’clock in the morning.


          Police Lieutenant Richelle C Perez, Acting Chief of Police of Lantawan Municipal Police Station revealed that the suspect was identified as Salip Agnan Aberin also known as “Agnan Jamirul Abirin”, 65 years old, male, married, Barangay Councilor and resident of Barangay Lawi-Lawi, Lantawan, Basilan,


          In the report of Lantawan MPS, suspect was among the Top Most Wanted Person Ranked 9 of Lantawan, Basilan who had a standing Warrant of Arrest for the crime of Qualified Theft issued by the Presiding Judge of 9th Judicial Region, Branch 2, Isabela City. According to the police report, Lantawan MPS received from PNP informants and Barangay Intelligence Network, the suspect was spotted onboard a motorcycle traversing Barangay Lawi-Lawi towards Isabila City. Immediately, operating units conducted a checkpoint operation wherein the suspect was intercepted and subsequently arrested by virtue of his Warrant of Arrest and was informed of his constitutional rights.


          The suspect is now under the custody of Lantawan Municipal Police Station for documentation and proper disposition prior to the presentation to the issuing court.


          Police Brigadier General Samuel P Rodriguez lauded the personnel of Lantawan Municipal Police Station for their relentless efforts in the implementation and serving of warrant of arrest against wanted person in Lantawan, Basilan. Also, he encourages the public to actively support the PNP operations against wanted person in the Bangsamoro region.
