Cotabato City – Joint elements of Cotabato City Police Office, Regional Intelligence Unit 15 and 1404th Regional Mobile Force Company arrested the 8th Most Wanted Person in Cotabato City on October 19, 2020 at about 12:55 in the afternoon.


          In the report of Police Colonel Richard Fiesta, Acting City Director of Cotabato City Police Office to Police Brigadier General Samuel P Rodriguez, Regional Director of Police Regional Office Bangsamoro Autonomous Region revealed that suspect was identified as Norodin Haron Panangulon alias “Nasser Kanapia Bansill, 35 years old, married, self-employed and resident of Almonte Extension, Poblacion 4, Cotabato City, who had a standing warrant of arrest for the crime of Illegal Possession of Firearms issued by the Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court, Branch 15, Cotabato City dated August 29, 2012 with bail recommended amounting to One Hundred Twenty Thousand Pesos (Php 120,000.00).


          Further, the operating units received from PNP informants and Intelligence operatives that the suspect was spotted at Almonte Extension, Barangay Poblacion 4. Immediately, joint operating units proceeded to the area and sighted the suspect wherein arresting officers successfully served the warrant of arrest. Apprehending officers informed the suspect of his constitutional rights.


          The suspect is now under the custody of Cotabato City Police Station for documentation and proper disposition.


          Police BGen Rodriguez lauded the operating units for their relentless efforts in the implementation and serving of warrant of arrest against wanted person in Cotabato City. He encourages the public to actively support the PNP operations against wanted person in the Bangsamoro region.
