Marawi City – Joint elements of Police Regional Office Bangsamoro Autonomous Region (PRO BAR) and Anti-kidnapping Group Iligan, Regional Intelligence Unit 10 and 15 arrested the wanted person in Gingoog City on October 15, 2020.
In the police report of Regional Mobile Force Battalion to Police Brigadier General Samuel P Rodriguez, Regional Director of PRO BAR revealed that the above mentioned operatives successfully arrested the suspect Michael Estañol, 36 years old, married, a native of Mandahilag, Talisayan, Misamis Oriental and presently residing in Barangay Matampay, Marawi City who has a standing warrant of arrest for the crime of Murder issued by the Presiding Judge of Regional Trial Court Branch 27, Gingoog City, Misamis Oriental.
Accordingly, the operating units received from PNP informants and Intelligence operatives that the suspect was spotted at Barangay Matampay. Immediately, joint operating units proceeded to the area and sighted the suspect wherein arresting officers served the warrant of arrest. Apprehending officers informed the suspect on his constitutional rights.
The suspect is now under the custody of Marawi City Police Station for documentation and proper disposition prior to his transfer to Gingoog City Police Station and turnover to the presiding judge who issued the Warrant of Arrest.
Likewise, Police Brigadier General Samuel P Rodriguez, Regional Director of Police Regional Office Bangsamoro Autonomous Region lauded the PRO BAR operating units for their relentless efforts in the implementation and serving of warrant of arrest against wanted persons in the Bangsamoro region.
