PNP Ready for state of the nation address (sona) 2015

The PNP will activate Super-task Force “KAPAYAPAAN” (STF KAPAYAPAAN) to provide enhanced security measures, civil disturbance management, traffic management and control and other related administrative and operational activities for the 6th SONA of President Aquino.
STF KAPAYAPAAN will be headed by PDIR CARMELO VALMORIA, Regional Director of NCRPO, as its Task Force Commander and will be supported by the National Headquarters Directorial Staff and Support Units.
STF KAPAYAPAAN is closely coordinating with the House of Representatives’ Office of the Sergeant-at-Arms (OSAA), Presidential Security Group (PSG), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP), and other concerned law enforcement agencies to ensure a peaceful and orderly SONA.
The PNP will be placed under full alert status a day before the SONA. Maximum deployment of police officers in all places of engagements will be ensured to maintain peace and order during this event.
The PNP strongly warns any threat groups and other unscrupulous individuals not to try to disrupt the 6th SONA of President Aquino. The PNP ensures the public that maximum tolerance will be implemented and any person who will violate the law will be apprehended.
While the PNP respects the freedom of speech of every Filipino citizen, the PNP will nonetheless implement maximum tolerance during the mass protests. Pursuant to Batas Pambansa Bilang 880 or “The Public Assembly Act of 1985”, the PNP reiterates the implementation of the “No Permit, No Rally” policy in public places except in freedom parks duly established by law or in private property, with the owner’s consent, or in the campus of a government-owned and operated educational institution.
The PNP leadership reminds all its police personnel that will be deployed in the area and other major cities in the country to always observe the Revised PNP Police Operational Procedure (POP) 2013 and place the highest respect to human rights in conducting CDM operations during possible mass protest actions. All police officers are also advised to intensify their anti-criminality efforts and continue their normal police functions.
Furthermore, the PNP encourages the public to provide relevant and timely information and other unscrupulous activities which may disrupt the peaceful convening of the SONA through social media (Twitter - @PNPHotline or Facebook Page – Philippine National Police) or through the following: Dial 117 or text 2920; and Isumbong Mo Kay TSIP 09178475757.
