Regional Director Lauds LGU for Activating a Crisis Management Committee to Address Kidnapping in Sulu Province

The Regional Director of PRO-ARMM, PCSUPT BIENVENIDO A LATAG, extolled the Municipal Mayor of PanglimaTahil, in Sulu Province, Mayor Abraham T Burahan for establishing a Crisis Management Committee to permanently eliminate kidnap-for-ransom activities by lawless groups in their locality.

PRO-ARMM RECOVERS KIDNAP VICTIM

A caretaker of a businessman was abducted by unidentified gunmen at Sitio Aguinaldo St. Brgy. Matibay, Lamitan, Basilan province on March 21, 2011 at 1:30 A.M but was successfully recovered by Composite Elements from  Lamitan Police Station led by PCI Edwin M Placio and joint elements of 321st Infantry Brigade at 5:20 in the afternoon of same date at Brgy. Sinulatan, Tuburan, Basilan after conducting a successful hot pursuit and combat operations. The victim was brought to a clinic for medical check-up. The victim is currently being debriefed by intelligence personnel of Lamitan Police Station in order to establish the identity of his abductors.

RD PRO ARMM APPLAUD TAWI-TAWI PPO FOR RECOVERY OF VINTAGE BOMB

PCSUPT Bienvenido Garcia Latag, Regional Director of Police Regional Office, Autonomous Region for Muslim Mindanao (PRO-ARMM) lauded the elements of Taw-Tawi PPO led by PSSUPT RodelioJocson, Provincial Director of said Police Provincial Office after they have recovered one (1) 750 lbs. MK117 Vintage Bomb at Sanga-Sanga Airport, Tawi-Tawi Province at 4:30 PM. Said Vintage Bomb was turned over by PSSUPT Jocson to Explosive Ordinance Division of NAVSOU TF62 for proper disposition.

PRO-ARMM Institutes Police Environment Desk

The Police Regional Office Autonomous Region for Muslim Mindanao (PRO-ARMM) has worked out the Police Environment Desk (PED) following Letter of Instruction (LOI) 11/2011 “Kagubatan”- Anti-Illegal Logging Campaign from National Headquarters, Camp Crame and heeding the implementation of Executive order Number 23“Declaring a Moratorium on the Cutting and Harvesting of Timber in the Natural and Residual Forests and Creating the Anti-Illegal Logging Task Force”.

of Surveillance Boats and Coastal Clean-up Drive

The Police Regional Office, Autonomous Region for Muslim Mindanao (PRO-ARMM), has joined the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR-ARMM) in the turn-over rites for two (2) surveillance boats which they imparted to the  Local Government Unit (LGU) of Parang, Maguindanao headed by its Municipal Mayor, Hon. Ibrahim Ibay on Tuesday, 17 May 2011 at Polloc Port, Parang Maguindanao.

Police Chief Superintendent Erwin Villacorte, Executive Officer of the PNP’s Directorate for Personnel and Records Management in Camp Crame arrived yesterday 18 May 2011, Wednesday at Police Regional Office, Autonomous Region for Muslim Mindanao (PRO-ARMM) in Parang, Maguindanao. PCSUPT Villacorte, was received by Police Chief Superintendent Bienvenido Latag, the Regional Director of PRO-ARMM and was subsequently given arrival honors in front of the Regional Headquarters building.
